Lights, Camera, Pikachu: The Explosive New Trailer Breakdown!”

We got another good look at Detective Pikachu Returns during last night’s episode of Pokemon Presents. The release date is still October 6.

We have some new screenshots to go with the new video, which shows more of the game. Since we last saw it, the game even looks a little bit better.

If you buy the game in Japan, you can get a cool Pokémon card as a bonus. I’m just saying that if something like that happened here, that would be great too. Even the soft plush is only sold in Japan.

We hope that this one will have some local preorder prizes.

Detective Pikachu Returns is a follow-up to the 2016 Nintendo 3DS game of the same name.

Tim’s father was still missing when the game ended, leaving a cliffhanger. The live-action movie was based on the video game, and it did bring the story to a close.

The Pokemon Company did say, though, that the ending of the story in the game won’t be the same as in the movie.

In the video, we can already see some big changes, like the fact that Tim’s mother is still alive and well. Raboot is one of the Pokemon we’ve seen that wasn’t in the movie.

At the end of the live-action Detective Pikachu movie, it was shown that the talking Pikachu had Harry’s mind inside it. It will be interesting to see if this part stays in Detective Pikachu Returns or if they come up with a different reason why Tim and Pikachu can talk.

We hope that the Nintendo Switch game will also explain what happened in the first game, so that people who didn’t play it when it came out on 3DS can catch up.

As of this writing, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company haven’t said anything about whether or not the original game will ever be released on Switch, but it would make sense if it did!
