In their statement, the family expressed some solace in the thought that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his closest companion.

They also acknowledged that Angus had been candid about his ongoing battle with mental health issues.

They hope that his untimely passing serves as a poignant reminder to others that they are not alone in their struggles and that they should not suffer in silence.

Cloud had small acting roles in two movies, namely North Hollywood and The Line. Additionally, he appeared in music videos for various artists, including Becky G, Karol G, and Juice WRLD.

However, his career truly soared when he secured the role of Fez, a high school drug dealer, in the TV series Euphoria.

Angus Cloud’s portrayal of his character in the TV show Euphoria turned him into a breakout star, as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.

Interestingly, Cloud had no initial aspirations to become an actor or a star, as revealed in a 2019 interview with GQ. Prior to his acting career, he used to work at a chicken and waffle joint.

His life took an unexpected turn when he was stopped on the street by an agent from a casting company, which he initially thought was a scam.

Euphoria, which first aired in June 2019, quickly became a hit and gained massive popularity in the US. By 2022, it became the most tweeted-about TV show of the decade in the country.

The series focuses on the story of a 17-year-old struggling with drug abuse, with the main character portrayed by Zendaya. It features intense scenes involving dangerous opioids like fentanyl and morphine.

In 2022, Angus Cloud had to defend the show against accusations of glorifying drug use during an interview with TMZ.

Despite the controversy, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson praised Cloud’s exceptional talent and unique presence in the show.

Tragically, Angus Cloud passed away, leaving many people in shock and grief. His rumored on-off relationship partner, Sydney Martin, expressed her sorrow on Instagram with broken heart emojis.

His co-star, Javon “Wanna” Walton, who played his adoptive brother Ashtray in the show, also mourned the loss on social media, saying, “Rest easy brother.”

The loss of Angus Cloud was felt beyond the entertainment industry, as California congresswoman Barbara Lee paid tribute to the actor on X (formerly known as Twitter), referring to him as “Oakland’s own.

” Actress Kerry Washington also shared her condolences on the platform, stating, “You will be deeply missed.

Rest in power.”
